Then decided to take her knowledge and apply it south of the border. With the blessing and support of her husband, they sold their home. Next, they packed up their belongings and dogs, and relocated to Costa Rica!

Starting the Costa Rica adventure in Brasilito, Guanacaste and getting to know many of the surrounding neighbourhoods, including; Flamingo, Potrero, Las Catalinas, Huacas, Santa Cruz, Villa Nueva , Playa Coco, and as far as La Cruz.
Exploring all the hidden waterfalls, beaches and hiking trails. It was time to see a little more of the country.
Dominical was the next stop; Uvita, Ojochal, Baru, and Perez Zeledon to name only a few good spots before landing on Playa Bandera in Parrita!

Once here, she immersed herself in the local culture and community. With a passion for learning languages, Amanda is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.

Amanda prides herself on listing sustainable farms for off-grid living! For instance, she can share which farms can produce crops and which farms are good for livestock. Additionally, she has experience working on how and where power in rural areas can be generated. Her knowledge works for you. In short, her specialty is helping people live and attain an off-grid, zero-waste lifestyle!
